What a fun rainy day it was yesterday. We had a really good morning watching cartoons and snuggling. Then as usual, Lily put on her princess outfit and played. Laci and I hung out in the kitchen and laundry room. Got a good bit of the mundane stuff done. Still, the work is never done. And I think since I have figured that out...it has taken the stress of getting everything done RIGHT NOW away. Now, I spend time one-on-one with my kids instead of stressing over the little things.
I let Lily go outside in the rain in her princess dress, rain boots, and new umbrella. She was not crazy about her dress getting wet. And she wanted to come back in. It was cute and I had to get some pictures of her with the umbrella. Thanks Uncle Jeffrey and Brantlee for the cute umbrella!!

Then we came in and washed up to make marshmellow delights. I let Lily count out the 8 marshmellows and do all the dipping. Then I rolled them in the crescent rolls and dipped them. We had lunch while they baked and after lunch, we sampled our work. We LOVED them!! Thanks Abby for posting such a great recipe!!! Can't wait
to try some of your others.
After lunch Lily ASKED if she could take a nap!!! So she napped (and slept the night) in her Dora The Explorer tent in her room. Thanks again Uncle Jeffrey and Brantlee!!! She LOVES that tent!! I let her sleep as long as she wanted b/c we were having tornado warnings all over the place. I was a nervous praying wreck. I just thought it was best for her to sleep and not see me worrying about the weather. And with it dark and rainy...I wanted to take a nap myself!!!
Thank God the tornado did not come our way. But the pictures on the news of places just minutes from us, looked really bad. So glad it skipped over us! My mom and all her co-workers were told to sit in the stairwell. I am glad they all came out okay also!
One more funny story. Last night at supper Lily asked our blessing. And she said the sweetest prayer...but God love her, it was so funny and hard to keep a straight face. She thanked God for the rain and ask him to bless it to the Ribers (rivers) and lakes. And thanked him for letting Nana get out of the tomato (tornado). There was much more, I just can't remember all the things she prayed for last night. I am so proud of her prayers. She is only 3, but can pray for the most adult things. And her little prayers are better than some adults!!!!
God, just keep her close to you and help her to maintain that innocents about her. - Amen.
